Using a Kleemann ML55K, a tuned version of Mercedes ML class, fitted with Toyo Proxes S/T, Toyo tyres have broken the world record speed for an SUV. Toyo worked with Kleemann, the German tuning firm to specify the correct tyre, size and operating pressures for the record attempt culminating in a world record speed for an SUV of 282km/h. That’s 175mph in old money, and that’s fast for a big 4x4.
