New generation Super single low profile tire
M149, New Super Single low profile tire has been developed to deliver superior wear performance with improved durability under tough operating conditions on trailers or front axle usage ranging from local to international haul operations.
With the-state-of-the-art TBR design technology, FEM analysis and systematic field evaluations, M149 has been carefully designed and has successfully accomplished its design goal as a New generation Super Single eventually replacing well-reputed predecessor M119.
Improved wear performance and longer life
Optimized casing profile minimizing uneven growth of the tread area maintains uniformed & flatter tread radius during running while straight and stiff six rib design provides even contact pressure distribution across the tread surface, both result in smooth wear and longer wear life.
Superior casing durability
Refined casing profile established through FEM analysis and special cap and base tread compound concept prevent stress concentration or excessive heat-build-up in the tire inner structure during its running thus provide superior casing durability and retreadability.
Excellent wet traction
Five wide straight grooves and siping on ribs are effective for wet traction performance especially required for front axle usage.

Comparison of Contact pressure distribution by FEM analysis
M149 shows more evenly distributed contact pressure across the contact surface from one shoulder to other shoulder area, which resulted in better wear performance compared to M119 in the actual field evaluation.
