European Athletics Championships in Rome 2024
6 June 2024
This year, the European Athletics will take place in Rome, Italy. Toyo Tires is a partner of the event for the sixth year in a row.
After 50 years, the European Athletics Championships will return to Rome this year from 7th-12th June 2024. In the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, 1600 athletes will challenge each other in 24 different disciplines to show their best performance and win medals.
Toyo Tires also challenges itself every day to design and manufacture the best performance tires. For this reason, Toyo Tires has been a partner of the European Athletics Championships since 2018 and was able to join in the celebrations at the medal ceremony.
To ensure that the numerous athletics fans can also celebrate with the top athletes, the award ceremonies and the Fan Village in the Foro Italico Park are freely accessible. For the award ceremonies, the square in front of the Stadio Olimpico will be transformed into the Medal Square, where the honours will be presented twice a day for 6 consecutive days (at 6pm and 11pm). The opening ceremony will also be held here on 7 June at 6 p.m. with a big show and will be open to the public as well.
Also, the spectators at home in front of their TV screens can look forward not only to the exciting competitions, but also to pictures of the city of Rome during the 20km walk.
