17 January 2024
At this year Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, Toyo Tires won the Grand Prize in the uprated SUV category for the Subaru Legacy Boost Gear Package which was exhibited on the Toyo Tires booth.
The Tokyo International Custom Car Contest features approximately 900 vehicles exhibited at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024.
Out of eight individual catagories, attendees and online voters alike, are welcomed to vote on two Winners and a Grand Prize winner for each. In the upgraded SUV catagory, an Open Country A/T III equiped Subaru Outback Legacy featuring a Boost Gear Package took the Grand Prize.
This late model Subaru Outback was customised to be a true “Overlander” vehicle that would enable and encourage the lucky owner to go further and experience more than just your run of the mill road trip. The fitted Open Country A/T III tyre from Toyo, with its extend on and off-road abilites, as well as the Three Peak Mud & Snow Flake (3PMSF) all season capabilty matched perfectly with the design concept of the car offering 'real world' effectiveness to be exploited by the driver.
For more information on this event Toyo Tires Japan have nicely laid on a special Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 web page containing an introduction of the Toyo displayed vehciles as well as a video report.., but you may want to brush up on your Japanese if you wish to follow the dialogue.
